Did anyone manage to do that? All device drivers for that specific computer are then listed by priority needed based on OS and when that computer was built, aslo a full list is viewable by adjusting the settings.
I installed the Realtek drivers from audjo HP website which sort of fixed it, except now audio plays out of both my speakers and headphones simultaneously which I didn’t realise and ended up playing Death Grips to the whole library for a couple of minutes. Just in case check here: ALSA playback test through plughw: This immediately brought back Microsoft’s high definition ajdio controller for me, and I was able to undo the various other fixes I’d been trying, leaving my laptop’s audio working exactly as it had before the update.
